I'm a ps3 owner and I love playing online. Im proud of Sony for stepping up and fighting back against hackers. I understand people just want the most out of their console with homebrew ect and that's fair enough but with this freedom you're always going to get the little ******s cheating online with it one way or another. And I for one do not want my online experience ruined by a little pr*ck!

I love the way people on forums are like "f*ck you Sony" when really they're just doing what's best for general users. If you was the head of sony, how would you go about it? "durrh you can run whatever you want on it" THIS WILL ONLY LEAD TO MASS PIRACY, then we will have another PSP on our hands where no games manufacturer will want to make games for the PS3.

BTW PSN IS NOT A RIGHT, IT'S A PRIVELIGE AND THEY CAN DENY IT TO ANYBODY THEY WANT!

Noo nothing that, I like to keep up with the news but I believe hackers are taking it too far now. If they was to stay offline an hack fair enough that's up to them. But they're trying to get onto PSN and which could ruin the experience for others. My anger is not towards hackers, it's the children who make Sony out to be the bad guys. Btw I have alot of respect for you greg you're a good moderator

With every hack, you are going to have people that will ruin it, its just the way things are and the way the will always be.

For instance, Comgenies Awesome Filemanager, is a great piece of homebrew, one of the best created, but people were abusing it to patch Black Op's to cheat and create lobbies.

Yeah I agree with ya there but that's what annoys me :/ I paid £40 for that game and now there's no point in me even playing it anymore. That's why I personally want PSN to be patched for good!

100% agree with the above statement. its a shame there are very few people intelligent enough to acknowledge/understand it.

it has always been the case IMO that if you mod a console, it stays offline.
i dont want to play against hackers/glitchers all day.

i hope sony do crackdown hard on all those people using the current methods of getting online right now, even though i do not use PSN any more, i may want to in the future and i would be extremely pissed to find it ruined.

i suppose you are one of the people who openly abuses PSN.
and to compare the OP or the others who agree to sony is laughable at the least.

we want to hack/mod/customize our consoles, but people abusing sonys own private network, running backups, cheating and the like whilst online are going to get sony more angry than than any amount of personal hacking could and bring down hell on the rest of us.

mess with your own property as much as you like, but take it to somebody elses property (PSN) and its a different ballgame.

garyrobsi does make a couple of valid points, these PSN abusers and cheating lamers, are ruining our scene, for instance, when Comgenie made his Filemanager, he didn't intend for it to be abused by cheating Blackops losers.

What has that got to do with anything, this site is here for people who aren't "hackers", to help people with their consoles etc, a console hacking sites dosnt have to have a 100% hacker member base.
