PS3 Recovery Menu
When PS3 Firmware 2.50 was released, there was a hidden feature, which was the PS3 Recovery Menu, here is what it does.
Here is how to access it: 1. Turn off Playstation®3. 2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again. 3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps 4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button. 5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button 6. The Recovery menu will pop up. Source Last edited by GregoryRasputin; 10-21-2010 at 06:31 PM. |

hmm. Im having a strange problem. Neither controller I have will be detected over usb in recovery mode. Tried different usb wires and all usb ports. Not sure whats wrong but get stuck at the screen asking to plug in controller and hit PS button. Controller just charges but doesnt sync. I can use it fine wired in XMB on a regular boot though....
