Have been asking myself this why hasn't Sony made anything yet, no reactions no comments etc, well apparently they did:

Upon hearing of PSJailbreak, Sony has seemingly put one finger in each ear and screamed 'la la la la not listening'. In one of the first responses received related to PSJailbreak, SCE Australia stated the following - "we don't comment on rumour and speculation." Although, PSJailbreak is not rumour, it is not speculation, it clearly works. Sony clearly wasn't expecting the PS3's security to be blown apart in such fashion at this point in time.

from maxconsole.net

it was a good read XD

SCE Australia is pretty low down on the heirachy, it's not really for them to comment for what would be taken as the whole of Sony on the matter. It's quite understandable for them to sidestep the question until a companywide line comes down from above.

To be honest I don't see what they have to gain from commenting on it before they've fixed it.

Acknowledging the problem will just give more unwanted publicity in the mainstream press, informing owners currently ignorant of the situation before they can update to the next firmware.

Yes you are right as you said acknowledge the problem will bring them unwanted attention.

Maybe we simply make a big deal of it because people here were expecting this (or sort of) for years. But did you read it on the Time cover title? Or did you here it on radio/tv?
But in real facts:
How many dongles have been dealt worldwide? How many people are screwing Sony right now?
Tens? Hundreds? surely not thousands, which is nothing from an absolute/objective point of view (the point of view Sony should have as a worldwide group company).
In addition, the "dongle of death" is sold out so in sense, the scar has stopped bleeding for a few days.
Sony probably work on a solution and they will surely deal it soon via new firmware.
It's no big deal (yet) for them, and even if it sounds like earthquake to us, they are strong enough to face this with cold blood and brains (after all, they're paid for it)

EDIT: In addition, I doubt Sony thought their toy was unhackable/unleakable.
Every piece of electronics gets ripped one day or the other. Only fools think they are kings for ever. Sony is experienced in the console market for more than 15 years, it's not their first strike. If they are smart (which i dont doubt), they created a security that would last long enough to get benefits. I dont work in the electronics market, but if i did my decisions and product policy / sales policy would evaluate the risks of copying and the time it will take before my product get ripped. If they dont take this consideration into account, then they would be dumb and too proud...

Cool

So does anybody know how to get your own games ripped onto the internal HDD and also how to get PS3 games from laptop to internal HDD of PS3
(I mean after your PS3 is jailbroken and backup manager is installed cuz I already did that)
