actually,... you dont need a programmer. You just need the chip. These boards are all programmable / flashable through usb

Linux?
A big thank you and much respect to people who have finally made this possible! I have been reading everyday following the updates since psjailbreak was first announced but havn't noticed anything said about 'otheros'. i have my 'online' ps3 that i have borrowed but i also still have my 60gb that has been sat gathering dust since the april 1st update. I know it will have to be updated to current fw for the jailbreak to work but in doing so i lose my 'otheros'. With the jailbreak enabling homebrew and such does mean installation of 'otheros' is an option available once again or will we have to wait for a cfw to be released? Sorry for asking but its been sat there since april looking all sorry for itself just waiting for the right time to make a comeback? is this the right time or should i still hold off
Thanks guys and gals!

The psjailbreak can't be detected ! Only the Backup Manager can when you are online but it is easy to change the Backup Manager ID. I'll try it and if it works, i'll add links...

Congratulations...
I don't normally comment on things like this, I usually keep quiet and watch... but, Congratulations to all involved, Geohotz for kicking the initial exploits off, PSJailbreak for initially releasing the hardware exploit, and Mathieulh (& team) for continuing development. I to am very interested in the otherOS and custom firmwares, as soon as I have a working dongle I'd like to look into custom firmwares for otherOs.
I've ordered a teensy ++ board and now waiting for delivery. One aspect which has caught my eye is the port to PSP, how exactly is this done? I presume it will be an application you install on the PSP, when will this be released? I would like to start playing asap. - Dunfy |
