I dont know if it was with or without the patch but that doesn't matter as the install pkg should appear.

trey to redo the install erase everything and try it again, you are on firmware 3.41 right??

Yeah I'm in 3.41 ill try again when I get home I know is reading it cuz the Ps3 does take a bit more time to boot when the device is connected and I press the power then the eject button so dunno what else I'm doing wrong I'm also disconnected from the internet just in case

you are doing everything correctly as far as i know, anyway just redo the whole process, meaning erase the chip reflash it again, it might be a bug.

ok i tried this and cannot get the install pkg file is there something else i need on the usb drive besides the pkg file for the backup manager. I unplugged ps3, plugged it back in, usb port had the blackcat plugged in. I hit power then immediately reset. Blackcat flashed once then solid red but no install.pkg ive tried to reprogram numerous times but still nothing. What am i doing wrong????

hey is this the patched hex file that dosnt allow you to play your back up games or can i play my back up games with it ??

That is weird try a diferent hex sal1man, you are having the same problem as fullmetal.
this is weird, and its bad for me too cause i ordered this one too, but its supose to work there are videos on it, anyway, try using another hex file or build your own following the guide that mathiuelh posted on lan.st on the ps3wiki.
that is the best i can do for you guys now since i don't have my blackcatUSB yet.

I received my blackcat today and wanted to know how do i put it in dfu mode and what's the model number when installing the driver. is it AT90USB162 or what for the blackcat tcniso pcb 1.3
