Team-Xecuter behind Minimus AVR USB

Looks like the 360 hackers are pouring their way into the PS3 scene. It seems that Team-Xecuter well known for their 360 hacking products are behind the release of Minimus AVR USB. The USB is due to hit on September 15th and are shipping BLANK (due to obvious legal reasons).

To quote:
Our factory has been commissioned to manufacture the Minimus AVR USB Dev Kit and we can confirm that we were able to use our contacts at Atmel to secure a large amount of stock now and in the near future for them.

Production began this week and we will be shipping to the Minimus guys this weekend. Although we are actually manufacturing this all support will be offered by the Minimus guys on their website. We make many OEM devices for other companies which are undisclosed, however we felt this one deserved a mention.

The product is as high quality as you can expect from anything manufactured by Xecuter and naturally we helped to tweak the design a little to make sure it was spot on (Cleaned up schematic, added Power & Status LED's, made sure all 22 I/O lines were available, more durable RST/HWB buttons for bootloader access etc)

Below you can find additional product details:

Ripoff

what a bullsh***t RIP OFF !

Price is way too high !
Let me exlain why :

it has the AT90USB162 Chip on it ! This is the cheapest chip on the PS Grooves "supported" List !
This is beacause it has ONLY 16 KB of RAM, yes right now the code can be programmed, but does any one of you know how big the shellcode will become in the future ???

i think this device has NO future, and is very overpriced, due to the fact the at90usb162 itself costs (in large quantities) just around 1€ to 2€ !
The Rest of the Parts should have togehter (also in large quantities) the same price in TOTAL, so development cost per board for this baby is way under 10 € !!!
And they want to sell it to 35 € or even more ???
This is clearly just a quick shot at the market as the bigger chips are all sold out, i have good contact to board manufacturers and they are very reliable !
They say Atmel has waiting times for the larger chips (with 64KB ram, more than double size ram!!!) of minimum 8 weeks ! and even for the smaller ones is 4 to 6 weeks !
Sooo, thats the reason we are not flooded with clones yet ! but they will come fpr sure and they will come with more ram ! don´t put your money on this and cry later when the ram has not enough ram for future applications or groove versions

just my 2 cents
