Sup Everyone! I'm new to the site, I jailbroke my PS3 Thursday, I was able to transfer ISO from my PC to PS3 using WINSCP and FTPServer_10b_Tool_PS3 from blackb0x. I didnt have a GAMEZ folder so I just created the folder and transferred the ISO. Works Perfectly.

Works fine for me too, no disconnects at all.

But how do i acctually load a game? If i hit Load in the Backup Manager it throws me back to the homesceen and then i should see the Backup to launch it, but i only see my Original Bluray? I have not modified the Backup? What can i do?

I used the wrong rockbox.ipod for my iPod 5g, you can get the right one here if you have the same problem:

Hello,

I used WINSCP (http://winscp.net/eng/download.php) and the FTPServer_10b_Tool_PS3.

1. Connect to home network/router via Ethernet or Wireless.

2. Do not update to new firmware, even though you are not signed in to the PS3 network you are still connected to your home network.

3. Get your IP address for your PS3 through network settings.

4. Install WINSCP on your computer and install FTPServer_10b_Tool_PS3 on your Jailbroken PS3.

5. Launch FTPServer_10b_Tool_PS3 you will see a black screen saying:

6. Launch WINSCP on your computer, select "NEW" then enter the host name (your PS3 IP address) select Port 21, change the File Protocol to FTP (No Encryption) Then select LOGIN. You may see three verification windows do not enter any information just select "OK" for each window.

7. Locate the GAMEZ FOLDER. If you do not have a GAMEZ folder in the LAUN12345 folder just create the GAMEZ folder, it will look like this --- dev_hdd0/game/LAUN12345/GAMEZ----

8. You can drag and drop the game file (BLUS***)into this GAMEZ folder.

9. To load the game use Backup Manager, I put a PS3 game in the tray, then ran Backup Manager selected my transfered game and launched it. The Backup Manager will take you back to the homescreen, go to games and look at the disk icon it will now be the backed up iso you wanted to play, select the disk and play it.

What determines speeds? Is there any way to upload faster? I'm running a pretty old WRT54G and I'm getting speeds of 2.0MB/s (laughable when I read of your speeds). If not I don't mind the wait.

Ok so i got hold of a PS3 off a mate,its mine for good now and i set up the network settings,tested etc and the IP shows up in Blackb0x ftp 1.1 but theres no port number and no option to start,simply a prompt to exit by pressing x?
JB went smoothly via Minimus plus Hermes etc. hell even my leds work lol (CONSTANTLY!),installed No bd backup manager but just cant sort ftp.i suppose its down to the port number but dont want to delving in fear of updating.
Appreciate any and all advice guys.
