Just done this with Racing Driver GRID but without swapping the eboot file and the game now loads and plays from the internal drive.

Did this because my madden 11 wouldnt load the backup after updating. It let me start the game but im 99.99% sure the there is no actual update because the game is still having gameplay hickups that the patch was supposed to fix.
