PSDowngrade and Debug Firmware

Hi there,
Can anybody tell me if it is possible, when putting a retail PS3 in service mode (as the psdowngrade seems to do), to downgrade/update with a debug firmware?
Cheers

well that is what i wanted to try bud! it should be assuming it cleans your nand and your hdd and reinstalls a firmware of choice, so i wouldn't see any technical impossibility on it.

Quite sure, the ps3 will give off a loud beep with a debug fw installed, and restart (not like the pspemu bricks) I am not sure it will be recoverable though, even with service mode.
