@meetpatty: Does that payload you compiled work for 3.41 to? Im running hermes v3 now but like to try PL3 and see how it goes with the new managers that are out.

Howdy ho fellow Arduino users. Does anyone port or maintain a version of the PL3 firmware for the arduino?
Thanks |

A bit of playing around, I came up with some results:
Red signal light flashes about 8 times then turns off, no PS3 boot = Incorrect arduino software. Red signal light blinks once, then Arduino resets, PS3 boots fine = USB data + & - switched. Running 3.41 & psgroove_341_due.hex from 3 posts up with success |

Is the arduino board actually essential after the chips pogrammed could you just mount the chip and connect each line to selected pins, or does it use other onboard functions

The board itself is not needed no. But if you remove the chip you will need a 16MHz crystal oscillator, a couple of capacitors, and possibly a few other extra components to build a minimal arduino. You will still need a way to program the chip though. So either an original board or a programmer or something.
