linux would be awesome but osx would be a godsend. im sure there would be problems with osx though as hackintosh's are sometimes a pain to get running correctly now if there was a way to triple boot the ps3, gameos, linux, other...

No. You can't run Mac OS on PS3, because MacOS don't support CELL architecture (as Windows). You can't compile MacOS for CELL if you don't have source code.
But I think it's real to make port of FreeBSD or other open-source OS. But now I wait for simple linux.
