PSfreedom Iphone 3G on fw4.1

Ok so I installed OpeniBoot as in this tutorial on my iphone 3G on fw4.1 and then copyed android.img.gz and zImage to privat/var/idroid and to privat/var to be sure. I gave them permission 777.

Now when I boot up the phone and chose for android then it stops at radio reading baseband nvram... done and when I chose terminal it loads till it sais WELCOME TO OPENIBOOT but its all scrambled.

What did I do wrong ? (I tried to reinstall already, same resault)
thx in advance for the help

There is one last step. You need to creaye a new folder ibthe /var and put the payloads in it. I think you need to name iy psfreedom, but i am not sure. It will be on the wiki. If yhe patloads are nit i. The file it defaults to terminal which is what you feacribed. You did it right, just missed the last step.

The payload is in privat/var/idroid, for what I found on the internet the freeze at radio: reading baseband nvram... done is because of a bad payload. But what exactly do i put in the folder ? a .bin or the android.img.gz and zImage ?

Install OpeniBoot with Bootlace (it is available through Cydia see link)
http://www.idroidproject.org/wiki/Bootlace

Download iDroid 1.0.3 and start it one time to see if everything is alright.
Download FileZilla and connect to your iPhone and go to private/var/iDroid and put in the files for ZaxtronFrontEnd-0.3 and start Android one time.

Now connect again to your iPhone with FileZilla and go to private/var/psfreedom

All payloads are stored there and for new payloads copy the .bin file into the right subfolder.

Damn , sorry about the state of my last post. I was typing on my iphone with no time.
privat/var/idroid is where youpu the zimage and android.gz file correct.

You also need to create a folder called psfreedom.
privat/var/psfreedom

and download the payloads from here under "zaxtron front end" (make sure yo have the proper image and android files from there too)
and place them in that folder.

what you are describing is exactly what happens when you do not have the payloads (in bin format) in th folder psfreedom. If it doesnt detect the bins there, it defaults to terminal, and gives you that wierd screen.

To demonstrate, select terminal instead of android on the iboot screen.....see same thing.

Sounds like you did everything right, just missed the last step.

Download the payloads from the link I just gave you , create a folder called psfreedom in your /var folder, and extract the payload bin files to there.

and enjoy.

This android and zImage in var/idroid

http://filesmelt.com/dl/payloads_11042010.zip
this has all of your payloads. Just place the ones for your firmware in
var/psfreedom/payloads/3.41 (this is just an example if you use 3.41)

Redsnow is fine, and I used the same tutorial.

Just use the files I linked to. These are the same links as in the wiki

If your IPhone space is full try to delete some apps, music etc. and see if it worked.

Same thing :/ seems to me it quickly blurs, unblurs and then shows radio: reading baseband nvram... done.

I dont know anymore, guess its back to good old 3.1.3 =(

*Got it working ! ^^ I uninstalled openiboot, removed all of its folders via ssh, then I installed openiboot again, updated it, changed the androad and zImage, and placed in the payloads (used filezilla instead of winscp) and now it works like a charm I guess it was winscp's fault.
