Looking for advice.

I regret having to start a thread about this but I've been trying to get this thing working for days now and have had no joy. I'm trying to run back ups on my 60GB PS3 with a broken drive. I've flashed my HTC Desire with CWMR - PSFreedom Mod r0.5 and it seems to run on my console fine with the "no disc" option selected. I've got back up files on my internal HD that I got there using FTP and Filezilla. I had used a different recovery Image previously and every Back Up manager I tried showed the files fine but wouldn't boot them which as far as I can tell is right. I'm now using CWMR - PSFreedom Mod r0.5 as I said previously but when I try and start up any Back Up manager it just crashes and I get a blank screen. I have tried re-building the PS3 file system and even cleared the lot with the same results. Again, sorry to have to ask but any help, ideas or if somebody could just tell me I'm being thick would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried the all the new ones I could find on here. Even tried Back Up manager 2. It's strange. They all worked fine previously and If I flash my phone with the older image I can get them to start up fine again. Thanks for the reply.

there must be a problem with the newer image then.
have you checked back where you originally got it from to see if there have been similar reports and fixes?
xda forums may be a good place to check if there isnt any info on here that helps you
i dont have a desire so i cant test myself.
