hello everyone, is it possible to transfer a game to ps3 using an external HDD ?

yes,use comgenies awsome file manager and copy from usb or external hdd to internal,its really quick and easy,you open what you want to move on one side and dump it into the location on other side,it will make sence when its on screen.
