nXMB: Patch Dev Flash for PS1/PS2 Games in PS3 Jailbreak Mode - PS3Hax Network

A hacker by the name of Luckluka, has released a patch that allows PS3 consoles, that are ALREADY BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE, to play PS1 and PS2 games while their PS3 is in jailbreak mode (users could not play PS1/PS2 games till now). The applicaiton patches dev_flash to allow just that, so if your interested grab the download link below.

Today, I share with everyone what I call nXMB, it allows you to patch Dev_Flash for PS1 games and PS2 games if your PS3 is backwards-compatible (has 4 USB ports) in PS3 JailBreak Mode!

What is nXMB?

nXMB is a tool that patches your dev_flash to play PS1 Games (PS2 games also work if you have a bc-console) in JB Mode.

How to use nXMB? And What are its requirements?

Requirements:

? PS3 that is JailBroken ? DEV_FLASH from your PS3 ? JaiCraB's Firm Loader v0.3

Step 1: Connect via FTP and get your dev_flash Step 2: Move your dev_flash and the nXMB into a new folder (NOT THE CONTENTS, BUT THE DEV_FLASH ITSELF). Step 3: Open nXMB and let it patch your dev_flash Step 4: Copy the contents of that dev_flash to your USB Flash Disk Step 5: Launch USB Firm Loader

The PS3 will mount your USB flash disk as dev_flash

You will NOT see "Install Package Files" but instead of that you will be able to boot PS1/PS2 games and you will have access to your memory cards!

Would this fix MGS4 crashing on act 4? There is a flashback in act 4 which is played in a PS1 engine and the current jailbreak has PS1 emulation disabled, so the game crashes. Will this fix it perhaps?

this doesnt make a difference for me cos even tho i have golden avr with groove hermes v1.1 i cannot use the usb loader which makes this pointless damn. let me note aswell that a lot of people cannot use the usb loader which means this program it pretty useless for me and others.

you have a point there sephiroth, yeah it might fix it, but that doesn't makes sense what about ps3 without emotion engine they get to act 4 and can't go beyond?? it must not be what you are saying.

Pockets69, all PS3 have PS1 support. Emotion engine has nothing to do with it.

PS2 games are the ones that require a BC capable PS3.

This would be nice if it fixed it.

I'm hoping this will let me play my UK PS1 and PS2 games on my USA PS3 in time.

I have a chipped PS2, but if something like this means I don't have to set it up, then that's one less box under my TV! My PS3 is the USA 60GB Launch version, so it's got Hardware backwards compatibility. Plays my USA Suikoden games, Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2 absolutely fine.

The problem is with the jailbreak , in jailbreak mode both ps1 and ps2(BC models)
are disabled even if u have the original games even the memory card dont show up in jailbreak mode.
