ok here's a quickie. I'm trying to back up my ps3 data, including the data that I would not be able to back up if I do a backup on the ps3 itself. So I downloaded the trophy files, so I won't lose them since i can't count on sony to back them up any more.

I've been using filezilla to communicate between my ps3 and my computer, would you recommend a better ftp client? for linux?

also when it gets to certain files in certain directory branches it slows down to a crawl. for example, I was backing up my LBP system files, and there is one file which is a few hundred megs, but it slowed down to 5 kbps, . . . is this something that is happening to everyone? or is there something wrong with my setup? also there are times when the client downright disconnects in the middle of a download, so i have to restart the ps3 to continue downloading onto my computer.
