By the way,what's the differrence between a backup game and a pirated game?You know,i heard a rumour that PS3 blu-ray pirated games already been sold in kuala lumpur and works perfectly without the need to open your PS3 apart to boot it.I tried to confirm that rumour,but i just can't.Then i'm wondering,if we all in here are still trying to boot our backups without any succes at the moment,then why the pirate guy have done it already?Man i'm confused...

The difference between a backup and a general pirate game is that a backup is a game you own that you have backed up (generally to save the original disc from scratches etc - alot of people who have small children do this as their discs will get scratched and even chewed on. lol
A general pirate is a game usually downloaded off the net which you do not own.
Backups are generally tollerated in most countries but pirates are not. The only exception to this is China and some other parts of asia where copyright laws are not generally followed through and pirates are tollerated in stores.

Regarding the games for sale in kuala lumpur - I'm not sure and I'd love to get hold of one if they exist as I know that Ps2 games had a corrupt boot sector which is impossible to recreate by normal CDR-DVDr burners (they can't write the corrupt sectors). - (look up Burst cutting on ps2 discs - its how swap magic etc loads)
Not sure how the blue ray protection on their discs work yet?.

Yeah,yeah...right now i think that rumour is illogical.But then again,i'll tell you if i hear anything new about it.

Honestly,i'm the only one in my school who have PS3...but that doesn't mean i'm rich.Almost everyone in my class/school can afford PS3.But they don't want to buy it now because the games are so expensive.So they're telling me that when the blu-ray pirated games are available,that is the time they will buy the console...and i'm stupid because i bought the console so early,where the games are still few and expensive.

The point that i'm telling you this is,no wonder gamers here in malaysia use pirated games.....the games are so expensive,it's like 100 US Dollar each in our currency.Also,piracy can boost the console sell.I never use pirated games actually,but PS3 really did hurts my pocket.
