If its a fake, it deserves being on failblog.com simply because I cant believe the video maker thought of spoofing the MAC but didnt pay attention neither to sapce left on device nor time displayed in upper right corner...
You know, its like being accurate and thoughtful on one hand and being completely dumb on the other.
Spoofing the MAC requires skills, much more than simply changing time on PS3... So hell, why is this vid so mixed...

about the hdd space, well its suppose to be like that the factory mode exists in order to recover any ps3 with software faults, so what best than format everything?? yeah pwople might loose his stuff but on the other hand they gain the jailbreak ability.

I beleive it could be real, the people at jailbreak have never really lied about making a product, they are usually talking out their ass with release dates though. they cracked the PS3, it's totally believable that this is real. this must be their way of saying that people with 3.50 can use jailbreak. however the one thing that bothered me is that "This is a one time downgrade". Why would it be only 1 time? it's not like the 3.50 firmware update is gonna be any different then it was the 1st time. the dongle should work as many times as you want.
