Safe/Recovery Mode

Not to be a dick, because you did mention a 'recovery mode', but it appears that you never actually tried it..
What I refer to of course is the recovery menu added in firmware 2.50 which can be accessed by turning your PS3 off and;

1) Touch and hold the power button, until the system turns on. It will beep once, indicating that its powering on. Keep holding the button and about 5sec later, a second beep, indicating video reset, and after about another 5 seconds you will hear a third beep and it will power off.
THEN;
2) Touch and hold the power button, you will hear the first beep as it powers on. Continue holding the power button, after about 5 seconds, you will hear a second beep for video reset just like before. Keep holding the power button and after about another 5 seconds you will hear a quick double beep. Release the power button and the system should be in recovery mode, asking you to plug in a controller.

Then try option [4. Rebuild Database]. and keep in mind, this should be done w/o your fancy dongle.
Hope it helps.

Smile Need help for 320 Gb Slim

hi.

I have a problem with this hex, please help for me and for US too, i think.

I have 320 Gb slim and a "ce-x" hex file . the previous "xeoe" killed my p3hub,maybe because i used for the 120 Gb version.( i not read before)
So now i think i need to change it,i think from the 120 Gb version to the 320 Gb slim version to working.

i read on Pscscene fro mieder- zijen:
""
To change to CECH25B (320GB Slim), file modelset.h.S line 35:
Code:
li %r29, 0x09
change to:
Code:
li %r29, 0x0b
and compile it.
""
What does it mean i'm not a pro.
Which softwares i have to use?
how can i do it? How to compile with what? Will this help for me? maybe This killed my P3hub?
I have pic18F2455. So i wanna by the and the hex for this device.
I sent back mine and ordered a ps3break 1.2. Same chipset i think.

after i do this i will share with others and tell you helped me,and by the future hex too.
