FBAnext is a multi-arcade emulator, which simply means you can play supported Arcade games on your PS3 without actually going to the Arcades. See below for supported systems.

Usage:
Place your roms in /dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/roms/

The first time you run FBANext, a configuration file called fbanext-ps3.xml will be generated. This file will store your current options.

If you wish to change your rom path, edit fbanext-ps3.xml located at /dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/ and modify the paths-rom element with the directory you wish. Please include a trailing slash at the end of your path otherwise no roms will be located.

.Zip/.7z/.rar file extensions are supported.

Rom Menu:
- L1/R2 Filter on different hardware drivers.
- X Load and run the currently selected rom. If you receive any error messages during loading the rom, they will be displayed. Typically most errors returned are due to old or incorrect rom dumps.
- Triangle Filter clone roms.
- Square Toggle to display 3 and 4 player Roms only
- Select Switch to options menu.
- Start Will return to the currently loaded rom if there is one.

Menu Controls:
SELECT – Insert Coin
START – Start
L2 – Return to browser


Options Menu:
- Show Framerate.

Yes will display the framerate counter. No will disable it (default)

- Aspect Ratio.

4:3 will display a correct aspect ratio with borders.
16:9 will fill the entire screen.

- Rotatation Adjust Options
Rotate for Vertical Games.
Do not rotate for Vertical Games.
Reverse flipping for vertical games.

- Auto Frameskip Enabled.

Yes will enable frameskip. No will disable it (default)

- Graphics Filter Type Options
Use Shaders.
Software Filtering.

Note: Software Filtering is currently not implemented.

- Current Shader. Option will cycle through the available shaders:

roms to /FBANext-ROMS/ on a USB drive, the roms do not appear, i have a 60GB phat ps3, someone else have the same problem?

yeah i have the same problem. i was about to ask about it. any help would be appreciated. i have tried /usb_home/FBANext-ROMS/ and /dev_usb/FBANext-ROMS/ but both paths show up nothing. what is the correct way to write the path?

The only games that were on the CPS3 system were the three installments of Street Fighter III, JoJo's Venture and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Warzard/Red Earth. So yeah, 6 games in total.

Actually, you can now edit your rompath. And you van have ur roms on the hardrive.

Check out some of the other news sites for a full featured info. You can also switch games without quitting now, as it caused a crash before.

It now supports 16:9, had a buttload morenconfigurations, and can rotate the screen for those top down scrollers that were sideways before.

now is possible put the roms inside ps3 with a file manager or ftp client, you can read the roms from hd.
1 if you have previous versione(beta) delete it
2 instal this version
3 with ftp client create a folder called roms (/dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/roms/)
4 with fpt client put the roms files inside the foulder ROMS
5 run Final burn
you can see all roms on screen read from hd

Hey guys, anyone of u tried to play sega megadrive / genesis games? in the first announcment of FBA Next (dont know ~1month ago) they told so, but now megadrive /genesis is not mentioned any more ... I was so much looking forward to it
