Ok to make it clear what you are actually wanting, what firmware are you on ?


You can Jailbreak 3.41 with a dongle like E3, you can also downgrade from 3.42 or 3.50 to 3.41, with that exact same device, or you can upgrade to 3.55 using a custom firmware.

if your on 3.55 and you intall 3.55 cfw you can go back to 3.55 ofw if your on 3.41 OFW and install 3.55 cfw you cant go back to 3.41 but can go back to 3.55 ofw
