A couple of days ago, we posted here about a PS1 emulator made exclusive to PSGroove.com, well a user by the name of halsafar on the same site has released a VBA Emulator for PS3, here is a quote from the source:

I am pleased to finally release my teams port of VBA (Visual Boy Advance) to the public. It is a clean port of the most recent VBA-M emulator, that is fully functional, equal to our teams SNES9X-PS3 and FCEU-PS3 releases. We spent some time optimizing it. The VBA-M source is not conducive to being run on the PPU. After applying many small optimizations we have obtained 60fps in all the important games. Enjoy GB and GBA with shaders! Vba 0.99 (3.41 only, 1.92 coming soon)

Here is a short quote from the Readme:

Just what we need, another Game Boy Emulator.......
Hold on, what am i talking about, i LOVE Game Boy games, and if this is as good as the write up says then this will be my dreams come true, the other GB Emu is good, but if this is on the same level as the SNES9X Emu then happy days!!!!!

Just played some roms, the speed and sound is very good, On par with Snes if not better in terms of quallity, one game did black screen, rebooting the game did the tick.

Its almost like disrespecting the author of this homebrew by saying "yea this is ok, but what I really want is........"
If u want something so much, learn to code and program it urself!!

I am VERY happy about this Emu and i am about to give it a good test now, and look forward to future projects, whatever they may be!!

Just wanted to add another little comment.....
The other Game Boy Emu i use (Gambatte) has a nice little "Fast Foward" feature when u press R2, would there be anyway to add this feature in a future release?? as it was REALLY hand to get thru cut scenes and things!
Otherwise this is REALLY nice, working great and loads of fun!!

p.s. have a look thru the shaders and try the one called "emboss.cg" its really funny!

unless you didnt know already the gba games require a GBA BIOS.
then you need to go to the settings and select it.

this is not stated on the front page.
