Now now.... well either he is lying and his ps3 is a debug and he downgraded a debug and that is normal... or Mathieulh was mistaken and when you install a debug firmware on a retail machine you don't get 4bips and it turns off...
I would go for the first option. I always thought it could be done, but everyone was saying the 4bips thing, so i took for granted that it wouldn't work. but seeing that the psjailbreak doesn't work on debugs, his machine can't be a debug in the first place it has to be a retail... We need some more info on this.

as i said people take these with a grain of salt. as if its giving psn access on 3.41 Debug.. well unless theres now FW checks in place or the psn servers check the browser agent.. still a mystery
as for an Open Downgrade.. alot of tried and failed and personally Just you all wait *grins* that bounty will end soon :3

I can confirm that debugs now require fw 3.50 to go on PSN.

i tried to install 3.41 debug from the xmb with an sd card connected to a usb adapter plugged in ps3 slim via usb. it said its corrupted. any solutions? message me on psn- kidrock1023

i think you dont have to re-jailbreak (after switching off) the ps3 anymore

Crisdo98 from Psx-scene has tried the 2.15 debug and it worked (for those that haven't read).
He's also tried 3.41 debug, aswell as the 1.50 debug both from standard XMB and in service mode. Neither would work.. Great info to work from now since he took the leap for us all, but it seems to have just proven what was said by ANTONIOPS, that it results in a hybrid between retail and debug with the lack of usable features. |
