Another fail by $ony. If they really wanted people to update,
they would release a GOOD firmware update.

Seems like it takes them a few days to patch this every update.

I give a **** about that update, we still can work on 3.5 (downg), probably soon will be spoofing 3.5 and CFW, so I give a **** about PSN access (which is lame any way (in compare to X360 which I using to online games))

Sony were pretty fast to release their anti-downgrade firmware
WarningPSDowngrade who stated that you can downgrade ANY firmware are liars> Just a few days we will downgrade n jailbreak 3.55 too bullshiit, it took several months for the 3.50 to be jailbroken (we don't even have a proof apart from the utube vid that it has really been jailbroken) Last edited by frederic1; 12-07-2010 at 02:33 AM. |

As much as i think their attitude to consumers sucks Sony were actually forgiving with this update. I know a lot won't feel this way but here's why.
They rejected the self that allows downgrading true but did not revoke the one that allows you to exit service mode. A permanent service mode would have rendered our consoles useless and in need for a send in to Sony. This basically just deters any hacked console owners from updating and going online. Once 3.50 is proved to be jailbroken then it stands to reason that we will still be able to play new games until a new sdk is released. It looks to me like they're just telling us to stay offline which in my opinion is fair enough. Hacked consoles have no place online anyway as too many will abuse it.
