But i was under the impression that the units that retail with 3.50 couldn't be downgraded, in psx-scene there are various reports of people buying 3.50 machines, and finding that they can't downgrade them.

Did Sony finally blow an e-fuse..? Would make sense that the Jig still works until it tries to load the lower firmware, just like it does for "tony4201" on his still downgradable machine (although I can go to 2.10 on a CECHJ). It might not go lower for that e-fuse reason or maybe they revoked something..

interesting, but im not sure what gambit and lightflux said is true, because i encountered the green light blinking on mine, others had this problem, which worked for me (thanks norain) by downgrading to 3.15,

cfw 3.55 > OFW 4.25 due to some noob who wanted to play f1 2012 :(, rendered it useless as well as that 500gb inside.

From what I've gathered I thought the only way to downgrade was if said console had the previous fw you wanted to downgrade to at one point in time
 If you go to a store and get a brand new ps3 with 3.50 it would not be able to downgrade b/c you've never had a previous fw on that console. You can't downgrade something you've never had in the first place!

Confirmed not as rumor. Yesterday i couldnt downgrade a 160GB PS3 friend of mine. It gives me infinite blinking green led (approx 30 minutes). After restoring using 3.50 FW, the units can boot again.

Maybe there's a way
Did some one tried to change the hard drive and then install the 3.50 firmware from USB hdd?
It suppose to help... If it's not working I think it's hardware change... |

I have buy the ps3 with 3.50 software The serial is: CECH-2504A On the sticker is: 220 - 240V IS P-27456873-0 S01-1510089-A Is this posible to downgrade??? |
