well, everytime you launch one of your homebrew emulators and play one of those classic retro games, in reality you are playing a backup!

I think you are mistaken. Most of the Devs do not condone PIRACY, which is far different than playing a backup of a game you own,

Yes im fully aware of that dude lol! Its an exploit,its a hack,it runs unsigned code etc,etc.All i mean is that already its got people assuming the dongle running on 3.55.Ive modded 360 Jtags,now thats a technique so not just a title given,do you see my point,very petty and as i type i wonder why i brought it up.
It just seemed to me that Jailbreak,the term,was simply the way the dongle exploit was marketed initially when sold for silly prices pre written with the necessary code (prior to Sonys clampdown and the introduction of blank AVR clones).

Thats all great...but...we want a self that enabels backup.
By law i can make backups from anything i buy.
In fact, sony by constantly blocking my right to do backups its only asking for sooner or later to someone file a lawsuit.

If you want to play backups so bad, why dont you learn to make homebrew? The devs in the scene dont work for you. They dont get paid. People need to stop whining and demanding that these Devs make every app for them under the sun.

How come it won't run backups?

If it runs unsigned code, then surely it would run the backup managers? And wouldn't they be able to pass control to the launched backup?

The thought of playing GT5 without the horrendous disk grinding at every click is just too exciting atm....please give me hope

The old backup managers were not coded for the new fw.

Ah, so at the very least, we need to recompile one with the latest SDK I presume? and chances are that it may need some code changes as well I bet....

Hmmm, that still leaves me with a large amount of hope, with the release schedule of backup managers there is far from a lack of developers working with them
