I thought 3.55 was not downgradeable? I already hate myself for updating to the "lv2 patched" cfw that had "backup support" this really sucks

3.55 downgrade would be nice, I dont think backups on 3.55 will be there anytime soon

Reinstall 3.55 OFW. Downgrade to 3.41 and viollia! back to homebrew heaven :D

use the search feature! it has just been posted that some are having success with 3.55 downgrade.

Its not all good, the majority of ps3 slims that performed them will brick irreversibly meaning its just that a "brick" and theres no way to fix it except maybe with something along the lines of an infectus.

The ones that bricked so far are the ones that could not be downgraded anyway.
I.e the ones with 3.50 preinstalled from factory and a few 3.42
