PS3Hax member d0zs has created another simple PKG tool that will decrypt your eboot, modify it, and pkg it all with a drag and a click. Includes feature as a firmware spoofer (changes both eboot and param), dev_hdd0/dev_usb001 and directory changer.

To quote:

Version 1.0 i tried making this as simple as possible, here’s how it works: 1) Install cygwin w/ default options (if you already have it, skip this step) 2) Copy the game’s files and create a folder structure like this (Don’t copy USRDIR’s contents except EBOOT.BIN): BLES01031 <---THE ROOT FOLDER MUST BE VALID GAMEID -PARAM.SFO -ICON0.PNG & any other files residing in this folder USRDIR --EBOOT.BIN TROPDIR that's just the bare minimum, include any other files you want in the pkg 3) Drag the game folder icon (BLES01031 in the example above) to d0zspatcher.exe's icon that's it. change any settings you want in the GUI and press start.

When I drag my game folder in it it says "Unable to open register key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\d0zspatcher\cygpath"

very nice news, but there should be more info into what this tool accomplishes and detail tutorials.

i'd write more but it's really not different than the other pkg tools, this just utilizes the method for playing games from your XMB and possibly fixing them if you're using 3.55.

also it doesn't firmware spoof, but it version spoofs the game so you can get online features with some games

Need help guys & Galls,


First of, i have done allot of reading about modified Eboots, *.*.pkg files etc...
But games still refuse to work proper after preparing everything !!


Example my game backup = Mafia 2 BLES00521:


1. i downloaded and installed a premodified Eboot package from here http://ps3pirata.com/topic10172-eboo...de-geohot.html Installed it the usuall way.

I only could find the right package there which is Bles00521 for my game which happend to need the same game id from that package i figure !!

2. Then i transfered content USRDIR\*.* (except Eboot i read everywhere) to that installation dir

3. Trying to Start from XBM , but it returns to XBM !!!!

My ps3 still has the Ghot 3.55 cfw no OFW ...yet !!

Iam in the dark here!!

Woud this new application from this thread fix my problem ? I will sure try, but the reason for asking is because i like to know wot steps i have to watch out for in doing so ?

I have a problem. Everytime I want to open dozspatcher it pops a window:Exiting Read the directions and try again. Can someone help me?

doubt it because it's all the same method, keep in mind that not many games work. when the pkg is saved, a messagebox will pop up telling you exactly what folder to use, so hopefully that clears up any confusion

yep don't just run the program, you have to create the directory structure and drag the folder to the icon, read the first post for more info
