Well excitement was created when waninkoko announced custom firmware for the ps3 with backup support and PSN(online gaming) it seems that he has posted what we would be expecting with V2 of his CFW for 3.55
New payload revolving around hermes and PL3 CFW patches which would allow for easy .pkg installation Peek/ poke function used via flukes1 and kmeaw tools To Quote a rough translation via google Waninkoko V2: New detailsSOURCE: http://www.logic-sunrise.com/news-22...x-details.html

no thank you, Keamw cfw is good enough for me. Waninkoko should probably try focusing back on the wii or 360. You've done enough for the PS3 scene already!

As for Waninkoko, we all appreciate him trying to help the scene, but someone with that many bricks under his belt isn't going to be welcomed back with open arms any time soon. @everyone: Please try to keep this INFORMATIVE. Don't devolve into childish monkeys and start a flame fest. This is a public forum, not elementary school. |

domba, for informative purposes:
Waninkoko - hundreds and hundreds of bricks Kmeaw - virtually no bricks (none reported what so ever) and if you DID get a brick, it's because you did something amazingly stupid Personally, I use Kmeaw, as well as everyone else I know. 99% of the Waninkoko users that DIDN'T brick also swapped to Kmeaw as well. I would recommend the safe and stable route and use Kmeaw. That's just my 2 cents. |

I have a fat so I'll stick with Kmeaw. His firmware is more compatible with the various versions of PS3.

OK, thanks, I was waiting for Waninkoko to release the second version of his CFW or Rebug for 3.55 but I guess I could just switch back to OFW and switch CFW whenever I want.
Kmeaw here I come! |
