Microsoft has been banning for years, since the original Xbox in fact. And the 360 still can't be hacked fully unless you have one of the older versions that hasn't been updated too far, then you can JTAG it. They can even tell if you flashed your dvd drive or not, so that route isn't even safe online. M$ is the pioneer in the security dept. and they are far superior at it than $ony is for sure and I expect $ony to follow M$s lead. And if you read the fine print, it isn't your console. You are only "leasing" the right to use it. And that allows $ony or M$ to say what you can and can't use on it. They can see what is on your console any time they want if you are online, and if they don't like what they see they will ban your console plain and simple. Get used to it if you want to play online and be modded. Two consoles is your best bet. And once again a great big thank you to all the developers that made all this chaos possible! And to you idiots complaining about being banned because you willingly and knowingly broke the rules :aetsch: . Like a previous poster said, "feel free to leave, but don't come back". Not buying a $ony product because they banned you is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of.

Its not the developers that would be sueing sony, its the developers publisher/s that would sue, the devs earn a wage the same as you do (granted, quite a big wage packet xD). the publishers are the ones that invested the money to create the games (unless a dev has turned publisher, or if a studio has in house publishing or if they are an indie dev).

Either way the current state of things, is just one big mess. While I agree with sony's ethics, I dont agree with their morality. Piracy is bad, games are set at a certain price for a reason, which is why if you like a game, you SHOULD buy it.

So.. im not a xbox fan... read my first post .. but .. can we be realistic.. the best system aviable .. so .. i give you a check on the multimedia part and for the games made by sony... but all other fcking games are just plain stupid ports from xbox.. so what now ? sony is stupid.. when i have a new console i dont want a fcking port i want to see what the system can actually do (work wise) how capable it is .. or lets say infirior to xbox.... and not some stupid ports.
