The main reason for me to buy a ps3 was that I can play many FREE games with a ps3 break V1.2

I`ll try to fix it but if it is too expensive I will buy a new one (I`ll wait to see the new ps3 slim ) I just hope that it is out soon .

Anyone else with a broken ps3?

nope mine is a launch 60gig upgraded to 1tb with all the bells and whistles, works like a champ did clean it though had a lot of dust inside and was overheating, now it works perfect and I never hear it, I recommend opening and blowing all the dust out if you don't want it not to over heat it!

as for fixing your machine, any signs so we can guess what it is? yellow light?? no image? no sound?

Hey Pockets69, could you help me? I have a PS3 and the hdmi stopped working. The A/V was still working though. About 2months of inactivity the A/v stopped working. So I took it all apart (the whole PS3 is disassembled now). I notice a burn mark or black dust around the hdmi chip that is on the m/b. Do you think my hdmi burned out? Will a pic help? My ps3 produces no video at all, tried swapping cables different tv's all of it.

Try a RGB cable not the HDMI mine does the same thing works on another HDTV but not on mine anymore, I know its not my tv because hdmi works perfect on my xbox 360 so its a bug sometimes to lose hdmi in the ps3. But try a RGB cable and reset the resolution by holding power for 5 sec at start up of ps3...

I have not tried the component cables, but i have tried the composite cables. And they did not work anymore. I tried to reset it as well. My ps3 is all apart now and I dont wanna put it back together and it not work. I have 3 other ps3's but they all have a specific purpose. I just wanted my ps3 to be working again. so disappointing. but if u say so ill put it back together and try it...u think so?
