The Waninkoko brick will not be helped by the heat gun trick it's not the GPU/CPU seperating from the motherboard, the NAND flash chip got scrapped for being the incorrect size. You'll possibly do more harm than good with using a heatgun, and that goes for anyone else trying that trick on a Waninkoko v1 bricked console. It will NOT fix it! The only repair is reflashing the NAND and that can only be done by Sony. hate to disappoint but that's how it is.

thanks dude this is what i thought but was told other ps3s with same symptoms were fixed this way... not got anything to loose lol

however after doing it... still same problem...

Ok this sounds good and all but i challenge all you devs to get a working ps1 backup manager for 3.55 cfw that would be an awsome feat of knowledge unless there is NO one out there that has what it takes if it can be done on the psp then it CAN be done on the ps3 if i could i would do it but i will admit that i am an idiot with no skills of that magnatude but i belive there is someone out there that CAN DO IT so man up and show us all what you got.

buy a launch ps3 with backwards compatibility and you wont have that issue mine works
