It seems that a respected scener from Elotrolado, naima, has released a 3.55 CFW with similar abilities of that Kmeaw 3.55 CFW only that it is integrated with the new PSN SSL bypass method. So, you don’t have to follow the lengthy guide just to access PlayStation Network on your 3.55 PS3, as Naima 3.55 CFW does it for you.

Naima he has tested his CFW, and it works, but flash it at your risk. Naima recommended that you should go to OFW first before installing this CFW to cut down the risks.

One is that you are using a commercial application, Charles, requiring payment for its use.
I will not give support for a commercial application also know that many are using unlicensed.

and CFW.PUP is the Custom Firmware, we recommend prove its hash before using it to flash
CFW.PUP to rename PS3UPDAT.PUP for flashing him.

You have permission, and I would recommend to create mirrors of the file.

Ok, if I'm reading this correctly (I doubt it lol), then all that is needed for the gamers to stay online is they flash this as their FW and they are fine? No need to hook up PC etc?

I'm guessing this just bypasses the need to mount dev_flash as rw and replacing the certificate file manually?

you still need to use Charles and set up a dns server, this just puts the certificate automatically in your ps3, also im reading reports that this by pass only lets you go on PSN and download demos only not paid content also it wont let you play games online! if anyone can confirm all this please do so, thanks a bunch!

Not only demo, i can buy something from PSN.
I haven't tried the naima CFW but i use the 3 steps no vmware method, i can redeem my psn card, buying game, and sync trophies. I haven't tried playing online.

Im trying to get this to work on charles program where do I put the supplied config file Charles its 11.3k I put it in the charles program folder but doesnt over write the config file do i need to put it some where else?

you can play games online as i have been playing blackops :D ,,although some such as gt5 have some issues,, unsure about buying games tho sweet still tho ,, :aetsch:

Don't think you need an additional PC running to use this with PSN right ? Think it has Charles functionality built in.
