PS3 40gb stuck in update loop
I recently got my PS3 40gb back,it had YLOD about a year ago and a friend reflowed it and put some washers in it. But yesterday when i tried to update from a USB drive, the PS3 only get to 66% then i get An error occured during the update (8002F1F9) and the PS3 restarts then tries to update and the same thing happens. What could be wrong? Is it the Wifi board thats not been put back correctly during the YLOD fix? Help appreciated

![]() I was almost giving up on my reballed ps3, after 2 days trying everything to take it out of the upgrade loop, I even contacted sony to get it repaired, but after your message, i opened my console, and there it was.... a loose cable, the guys at the repair shop assembled it in a hurry, I presume and forgot to check. Cable reconected and PS3 back. All thanks to you! Once again, Thank you, you just saved me 129 US dollars + shipping. |

Either the cable is loose, or the wifi board is broken. If the latter, you can find a replacement on ebay for cheap.
EDIT : I should pay attention to the post date. And so should you MMaLuFF :P
