i have brought one broken and i want to attend to fix it
but i want too fix the 2 broken ones of the usb the identical to the one on the board just swap it and solder it on there . |

There are only a few options...
1.) Buy a replacement USB/WiFi board and install it. 2.) Buy an electrically broken USB/WiFi board and transfer the ports. 3.) Attempt to find original replacements for the ports (good luck...digikey doesn't have anything that looks even close). 4.) Buy some cheap USB ports and wire it up ghetto style. |

thank you killerbug you the one who nailed it i been looking around for stuff like that i am a master of soldering and desoldering . what you mean by Buy some cheap USB ports and wire it up ghetto style ? what would be a good site to get it from ? i don't need pc cards usb ports . any more suggestions

When I said, "Ghetto Style", I just meant to solder wires where the ports connect to, then run them to some ports that don't fit quite right (something like http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...me=609-1045-ND )...then you would hang it out the side of the case, or maybe mount it internally and glue it in place or something.

lol...then you are not a master solder'r
USB pint outs are WELL documented. i think the what guy above was saying is to buy a cheap hub, desolder the ports on it, & then resolder them on the ps3.... its not rocket science....also how do you know only the ports are bad & not the back end baord |
