He still acts like an idiot on camera, as if he's a holly-wood star and it wouldn't surprise me if he thinks movie rights are going to start flowing in for him.

HOWEVER: He is actually doing the right thing by contacting the media about it, by posting a public fight to Sony. When it comes right down to it, what other methods have ever worked where a corporation finally gives in and says, "Okay guys, we blew this out of proportion? Let em hack."

What he should focus on in his interviews in a bit more, but not too much more detail; is what Sony did illegal to their systems, why its important that you own a device you get to use it the way you see fit, question more on just what owning a device means?

I did like how he mentioned the Xperia X10; he mentioned that to tell Sony, there's really nothing you can do about this cause the DMCA states its LEGAL. He should have lied and said he bought the phone new to support new Sony products. It would have sent a message to those ignorant or thinking he just a pirate that he will support new technology, that the technology is good but that the way Sony fights ownership of a device is wrong.

Alsp what he should have done is compared to I-Phone and how that is legal, and why it should also be legal with PS3. If he couldn't do that on a televised interview, than do it on youtube now that people recognize his face; and that's what we need, a face that stands out that not only fought in courts, but also won in courts.

So let's face it, as much of an idiot that he is on camera, he is the necessary face of hacking.

I mean,you know! It's great to see he's still going strong and hasn't been badly effected by Fony's scare tactics.And after all this he's still going to hack their products.Cannot wait to see what he'll do to the NGP.

Just a couple of points. My opinion of course and they may be absolute bull poo lol.

The comment he made about the Xperia X10 can be taking as a direct statement that he has a personal vendetta against Sony.

As to the DMCA rules on the iPhone etc, the actual allowances made there have virtually nothing in comparison to the PS3 or any other games console for that matter (Yes, I've waded through a lot of it lol). A couple of direct quotes are as follows...

"Computer programs that enable wireless telephone handsets to execute software applications, where circumvention is accomplished for the sole purpose of enabling interoperability of such applications, when they have been lawfully obtained, with computer programs on the telephone handset.".... So we now have the ability to legally install anything we want to a device we purchased.

"Computer programs, in the form of firmware or software, that enable used wireless telephone handsets to connect to a wireless telecommunications network, when circumvention is initiated by the owner of the copy of the computer program solely in order to connect to a wireless telecommunications network and access to the network is authorized by the operator of the network".... We can unlock our phone for any network use.

Apple are still fighting the decision (see below), and trust me peeps, if gh loses against Sony, then Apple will also use his general attitude as a reason for him breaking the iPhone against him in their ongoing arguments to the DMCA Authorities.

"Current jailbreak technologies now in widespread use utilize unauthorized modifications to the copyrighted bootloader and operating system, resulting in the infringement of the copyrights in those programs, Apple told the U.S. Copyright Office"

I see this as a good buy and good riddance video, he must be aware the end is near.
His last shot at having something to say that some people will listen too. even tho it was all wrong.

I really find myself wanting too add lots of personal insults.
