Showtime media player. Remote play enabled

Howdy, after some tinkering around I was able to advance edit the param.sfo of showtime to enable remote play on it, it works 99.9% of the time, the 00.1% being the rare times when it kicks you back out to xmb, but this only happened once.

So you all know the drill, ive posted a link to my edited param.sfo, connect to ps3 via ftp, navigate to hdd0, game, HTSS00003, delete the param.sfo, replace with my param.sfo, disconnect, restart ps3(you dont really need to do this, I did it anyway just to refresh the system and give the changes a chance to stick) and voila!, you can now enjoy showtime and all its benefits via remote play, just yesterday i was watching an mkv of the chronicles of narnia: prince caspian, right from my psp, good luck.

ps:hopefully the developers can add this to the package in the next release.

you know the way some games don't work with remote play even when you click enable remote play? thats what happens with showtime, you have to use the advance edit to tweak a few settings, for details of changes made feel free to open up your own param.sfo and compare it to mine, you should notice a few differences, this is just for those who want it, if you don't want it, it's a free world brother

thanks a lot brother, this is great! ive always found it upsetting that all packages end up under 'game' regardless of their function, its a wonder developers aren't using this.

i'm using the info i found in flash thats all , its up to them i guess its just easy to put under game idk i've put a few under network @ Ps3 Messenger thread , i'm gonna try moving iceburg radio under music & adding remote play.
give thanks to jjolano the dev behind that new 2.0 open ftp app otherwise i would have never looked as that installed under net so i had a look at the sfo then i did a little digging for clues to the rest.

i did my own showtime edit a few days ago to move it under video.
http://www.ps3hax.net/showpost.php?p...2&postcount=20
if you want to add remote play to that send me a like to sfo and i'll pack it, and post.

EDIT:

it seams the length you've gone to to edit the sfo brakes the signing tool i use.. so just gonna have to copy over to try it.. sorry guys no nice .pkg.
