Hello I found a Custom Theme Creator Pack:

P3t files are ?encrypted? too and i think its done by the P3tcompiler what means he know how to encrypt and swap the theme to signed code for the ps3.

Perhaps the key lays in it and when we debug his functions we can isolate an algorithmto find a way to embedd unsinged code in it.

Ok i dont think that the P3t-files are encrypted any longer (cuz im not that good in finding encryptions).
I edited some bytes in the .p3t and filled them with zeros except the backround.
After Installation of the theme the corrupt icons were replaced by the standard ones i could only see the backround image
Is it worth a try?

I don't think they were encrypted in a first place. But If they were replaced by standard icons this might mean there is some validation control (hashes may be).

So It may be used that hashing algo they use In pkg files - and that is worth finding

So you could try to locate those 160-bit hashes inside p3t (if they are).

i tried some thing like this on the psp same thing happened until i attempted to inject a hello world code into it which semi-bricked my psp (3.80OFW) i fixed it though and im not trying this on my ps3 lol a 600$ papper weigt!

If you brick your PS3, than we have a breaktrough. Why? Because you can access the System files on your PS3.
