My favorite official blog comment so far lol

So, because of Sonys incompetence, 70+ million of users will not only have to cancel their credit cards and change their passwords, but also move address?
Now thats an EPIC failure! well done Sony you have actually out done my expectations of you

Angry

This is a huge fark-up on so many levels.

In the short term it's a logistic nightmare for both Sony and their customers - personal information should NEVER be possible to obtain and it's confusing for people to know what exactly to do and what have been leaked. It's seems that Sony don't have a clue what exactly has been leaked.

In the long term no one will ever trust Sony with their creditcard info again which will affect PSN sales severly - this is the death of PSN Store releases since no 3rd party publisher will release a game on a platform with low sales.

And that about the unavoidable class-action lawsuit?

Auch!!

Wow!!! Here's some good news. I'm glad I used my debit card to buy stuff on the PSN so that I can
1) Not access it because the PSN is down
2) OMFG Sony made my debit card info completely vulnerable thank you very much Sony

I'm glad I removed my information and address at the time this was published.

Remember the advice to remove your cc information? Thanks ps3hax for saving my ass.

Glad I read this article a while back.

I bet geohot & graf are laughing their arses off

By the looks of it, the reason why Sony has made this statement is due to pressure from US Government.

"The statement finally did come after Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal publicly chastised Sony for it's slow response to the problem." You can read about it here:

ps3 is crap anyway, im an online gamer so the only 2 games worth playing online are killzone 3 & uncharted 2... plus the online community & interface sucks.

I should sell my ps3... it would be stupid not to.
You say you are online gamer and you believe Uncharted 2 worth for online????

All this does for sony is tell consumers; "AND THIS is why you should hack your PS3"...

I just glad that I got my CC info changed before any damage done and that PSN had my old address information instead of my updated info.

So yea... trust in Sony, out the door..... It only did everything, to compromise your freaking DATA. Thank you Sony....
