Just an fyi... for those of you saying 1 billion is a bit high.. It is listed as a class action lawsuit. There were 1 million people in canada with their account info stolen. if it comes down to the usualy 60/40 split, (60 for the plaintiffs, 40 for the firm) that leaves 600 million to be split up among 1million people. Take the ID monitoring services out of that and there would be around 400 dollars left per person. I think thats fair, dont you?
