highly unlikely! although the processing power of the ps3 is huge, with no hardware accelerated graphics is going to be hard, well i could be wrong though, i guess we should be trying instead of discussing it XD
but now i ask why the ps1 emu? the ps3 play ps1 games just fine

After reading all of the posts, i understand that you must revert to OFW from CFW.....So please allow me to be noob for a sec..

I have never went Custom yet, i am on 3.55 OFW, So I........
just throw this at my ps3?

And what is VFLASH? Do I have it? ofw 3.55 original 40gig...

Does this dualbooted OtherOS have full-hardware support? If so, I assume it only needs a driver for the gfx card.

As for a PS1 emulator on Linux, it'd have some advantages over the PS3's PS1 emulation (good model/video upscaling, ability to use cheats on games, etc...).

well this is what i have done so far
formatted the driv 3x using the format utility
retrying install 2x
fail at create vflash 7 (possibly install otheros i hear no 2 beeps before going back to xmb) vflash process never tells me i have to format.
3rd time reinstalled cfw
tried again
fail(same reason as above)

not sure what the problem is maybe i have to compile it myself?

No, he was asking if his ps3 has vflash and he never mentioned the model so the only way to be sure is for him to check the back.
