I remember we have a software called openps3ftp, you can install it into the PS3 (on CFW) then connect via FileZilla.
Connects as well as any Virtual Desktop or Network Drives or any shared folders on my network. =) But what's your definition for lag? |

What exactly do you want to do? Transfer files? If so then you could use a ethernet cable for faster file transfers (only for jailbroken consoles).

I want to play my PS3 on my PC,not transfer files, and by lag I mean that ppl say sometimes it lags,or has low FPS.And I don't mean wirelessly.
And also is it possible to downgrade 3.61,I mean I'm sure it will be but will it be soon? And I need it on my PC cause I dont have a TV close to my modem(or whatever its called) and I plan on getting the PS3 to my modem instead of my modem to my PS3,and I can use a standard internet cable right? The one you plug in your computer from your modem(maybe its called router,if router isn't for wireless only) ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Sorry I meant how can I play my PS3 on my PC monitor. What kind of monitor do you have? Does it have an HDMI input? VGA input? DVI input? Depending on your monitor it shouldn't lag.
And as for the downgrade...simple answer...NO! (not yet atleast) but don't get your hopes up for atleast a couple of months. |

Ummm....If you have 2 outputs i don't think that'll work...just wait for a few other people to respond to this thread. As for internet you can just connect an ethernet cable from your router to PS3.

************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* I meant the DVI is separate its not where I plug in for internet :D ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Just look at where's your supposed to plug in the Ethernet cable in your PS3,well my cable from my router ends like that and it fits in my PS3,do I still need to buy an Ethernet cable or is the cable I'm talking about Ethernet(is the ethernet cable used only for connecting the PS3 or PC's too?)? Btw what else is so great about MultiMAN or any other Jailbreaking software except cheap games,I mean you can't go online and download stuff and stuff like that :D Last edited by xXxNighthawkxXx; 05-21-2011 at 10:31 AM. |

The cable from your router has the same size ending as an ethernet cable but it is NOT an ethernet cable. You could have just tested the internet with it and seen that it doesn't work.
Now you have a DVI output and the PS3's audio/video ports (including HDMI) are also outputs. You need a monitor that has an input if im not mistaken but again, i'm not the perfect guy to ask about this stuff. And your last question. Theres so much stuff you can do with a jailbroken console. Run linux on PS3 (kind of complicated at the moment), homebrew applications like showtime media player (has mkv support), backup managers like multiman, gaia manager, various emulators that play NES and SNES games....and the list goes on and on
