Great, will get on this in the weekend.
Would be great if you could Dual Boot CFW to have a 3.55 and a 3.60+ partition to play online and backup your copies. |

When will this guide be out? I went to gitbrew(dot)org(slash)otheros and no updates. Cannot seem to connect on IRC to ask for help either. It is an SSL connection, so maybe this is my problem. I get refused when I try irc(dot)gitbrew(dot)org. If anyone could help me troubleshoot, shoot me a PM. Thanks!

With ideas from this thread is it possible to use the OtherOS partition( from 3.15 ) utilizing this new method of launching Linux?

My question is: Is it possible to boot the Linux partition made by the original OtherOS using the new method?

Long answer: https://ps3wiki.lan.st/index.php?tit...ASH&oldid=2656
![]() What I like to know: is there any way to boot a kind of "Open Firmware" bootloader. This will open the PS3 to some other interesting OS'es like MorphOS and PPC MacOS (and v4 of the best OS ever ).

If you're talking about the OS I think you're talking about, they had 0% interest in a PS3 port. Kinda sucks seeing as the new X1000 is PPC based.

![]() Without Nvidia PPC driver no single OS has any change on a PPC/Nvidia based machine. So even if the owners of AOS4 (a "stupid" Belgium firm I remember) wants it, they run into the Nvidia driver problem. Aros/MacOS/WarpOS/MorphOS etc. are all crippled by Nvidia this way. The only OS that has a working Nvidia PPC driver is GameOS. Ow, forgot to mention: with the X1000 AOS5 will be available

gitbrew just opened their wiki page @ http://wiki.gitbrew.org/
At the bottom of the OtherOS++ page it tells you how to go about the install for NAND. Last edited by kibako; 05-31-2011 at 06:03 PM. |
