It has been a few weeks, since we have been able to access the PS Store, though it seems that we should be downloading from the PS Store by the end of the week according to Jeff Rubenstein Social Media Manager, here is a quote from the PS Blog:

we will see how long they stay up. for every1 thats denied anonymouss part in the outage heres what is happening now accordind to forbes and many other sites.

Group says its new operation will be the "beginning of the end" for Sony. The hacker group "LulzSec" has announced its intention to continue the assault on Sony's online assets started by Anonymous. LulzSec has claimed responsibility for the recent successful hack on Sony BMG's Greek website, and the recent attack on the PBS website, which included the defacing of the site, and a phony story about rapper Tupac Shakur being alive and well and living in New Zealand being posted on its front page. The warning for Sony actually came before LulzSec's attack on PBS. Posting on Twitter on May 27th, the group said that it was "the beginning of the end" for Sony. The PBS attack took up most of the group's attention over the next few days, but on May 30th, it said that the operation, which they dubbed "Sownage" would begin on May 31st. Just a few hours ago, a new post on Twitter suggested that not only had the operation already begun, but that it was proving rather successful. LulzSec said that it was "making off with a bunch of [Sony's] internal stuff," but that the company hadn't noticed. As the PBS attack was seemingly prompted by what the group perceived as a smear attempt on WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on the channel's Frontline program, it seems reasonable to assume that LulzSec's attacks on Sony are motivated by the same pro-free speech/pro-hacker sentiments as Anonymous. The original attacks against Sony were a reaction to the company suing hacker George Hotz and Sony's out of court settlement with Hotz doesn't seem to have let it off the hook

is it a coincidence that the operation was to begin the day playstation store was to go back online and now sony is stalling and requiring more time? Anonymous started all this sh*t cuz hotz wanted credit and got it?
I prolly would've done the same thing sony did "going after the hackers" trying to preserve the console and save the developers and 3rd parties from getting ripped off. If it were my company i would have rolled up on these guys shotguns loaded. don't get me wrong i'm all for homebrew, it just goes to show when the first is released is a backup manager that lets people "protect their investment" and you can also torrent and rent and rip off the people making the games. sh*t effects everybody not just sony and with all the sh*t wrong with this world that truly deserve it even more (greedy banks corrupt politicians microsoft global monoply etc.) why f#CK with the playstation and gamers and game developers?

I'm so sick of hearing the word "week". It's always "this week" this, or "this week" that! And it never happens. Just bring up the damn PSStore already so I can waste even more of my money! And yes; I have a 20 dollar psn card because I was being stupid with my money. Now to get a game that I'll only play once and never look at again

Oh, that guy? Meh, well not I!!
Do not sign Sony 'P'OS contract, oh I mean TOS...
You will be sorry you did in a few years, and so will your children! Think of the kids!
When I played NES there was no TOS, not even PS1!! And read up on what they want you to actually accept! Tis a sad time for us gamers......

theres disclaimers with all hardware and software, read the manuals. there was no "terms of service" with nes and ps1 because you were never offered a chance to play those systems online.
dont like tos? dont agree. problem solved. stay offline.
like gaming online AND homebrew? buy 2 machines.

me? im keeping my 3.55 offline, but my 3.61 is looking forward to the return. im looking forward to my free games, my son is looking forward to the free psp games.

Hopefully, what they say is true. I want my free games. Sony owes that much at least to begin with. Cheers for the information Greg
