The thing about this system is that the games will just be recycled. Hacks are what's gonna drive this system.

Well i don't know guys because all sony has to do is update the firmware. That will kill the cartridge hacks. Then its back to square one and i personally think that the PSV OS looks like an Android but heavily modified. So its possible we could just root it.

Did they go with the cut down RAM in order to compete with the 3DS or the Wii-U, i forget which one. O name wise i like 3DS the best. Easy on the tongue.

Edit
facepalm to Sony for getting another console to be hacked with the cartridges. You'd think they would learn by now.

To clear the confusion that are not SD cards... anyway saying "uh if we hack it sony will update", lolol of course they will, don't tell me you only realized that now?! i don't know if you noticed but there is no such thing as definitive hack since software update were introduced to gaming machines... anyway, i just hope for homebrew on the machine, if it goes as well as the psp scene, it will be cool, but i am not buying one, at least not from a store, i will get one really cheap, when we get some homebrew goodness.

Exclamation

Digital distribution is awful; it means that the consumers are deprived of their rights: You can't resell downloaded games, and there is no competition, which means you always pay as much as they decide to charge. Also, no cheap used games. Which is part of the reason why PSP Go failed (the other reasons were the price and the fact that not everyone has highspeed internet). Sony obvioulsy DID learn for once. So be happy that it has a fast form of physical media, and that it's not some slow, easily scratched optical miniature disc with very limited storage space. I certainly am.

If they had went to digital delivery only, they would have lost tons of sales. I know I wouldn't have bought one for sure. I want a physical item for my money. This is like MP3 vs CD. Still want the CD. I can make my own MP3's. Doesn't matter what way they go, it will be hacked, so that is a moot point.

eh I wouldnt be so sure that is easy to hack...sure you need some type of memory yes it is an opening...but if security is like past machines there will be key system to be able to run code approved by a hypervisor or something like it...while I def agree hackable I doubt anything within a few months from release...

nice save alot of battery power also,

I think Sony doesnt care if it gets hacked as they will most likely be selling it for profit in the first place and with propriety hardware they will make more money from memcards as look at the psp they are churning them out and selling them still even though theirs hardly any dev support left
