well anyone know, how to run portal 2 in 3.55 firmware? i'v downloaded portal 2 , when i'm running portal 2 using gaia manager, at starting it says update firmware to 3.60. well i'v updated then my gaia manager disabled ~_~!! can anyone help me!!!

You can't at the moment. Should have checked out if it worked before you got the game.

p.s. you're lucky you didn't brick you PS3. None of your stuff is going to work now. i suggest you update to 3.61 or 3.65 (3.65 has more security so i recommend going to 3.61, and it is optional so you can still go on psn).

Aw poop... That sucks. Because if you updated like you said, to 3.60... You're no longer on CFW, and there's no way to revert back to CFW. This is why you should check prior to downloading games. In fact, last time I checked... Doing that was illegal anyway.

ouch, sorry there is nothing that can be done to help you, a little research first would have gone a long ways toward saving you from losing custom firmware

You should read some faq and guides here and you will now that portal 2 doesnt work for custom firmwares and update brokes cwf and you can use managers and backups

Also please dont use other sites who tell you that have custom moded firmware 3.61. 3.65 all of tham is fake i suggest you to keep here and some day you will have CWF for now i cant tell you more becouse i also dont know.

Sorry pall as Thelostdeathknight say you should research and you should ask here if is posible ?
Just try to sell your ps3 and buy one with older firmware 3.41 or 3.50 and made tham with kmew 3.55 and read what games are works !

There's a pretty simple way to find out, but it's a 2 part method which does require looking at 2 pieces of info. #1, check the release date of the game. Did it release before Portal 2? Chances are it will work. #2, If it was released after Portal 2, search the game name + PS3 3.55 fix. If you don't find a fix on a legit site, such as this one, or PSX-Scene or ps3.dashhacks, then don't bother downloading, and CERTAINLY do not try it without previous users attempting to get it up and running.

One last point I want to put out there for anyone else who's looking at the newer games and wants them on CFW: Read the goddamned update message! Don't just hit the X button as soon as the message pops up! Why? Because SYSTEM updates are not GAME updates. The system even TELLS YOU it's a system update and not a game update. If you see anything of that nature, hit the O button! You'll bounce back to the XMB with an error message, but at least you'll still have CFW.

u should used multi man, atleast that would have prompted you to change teh fw version in the param.sfo, then if u tried playing the game you would have just got a error code trying to run the game.

u just un jail broke your ps3 cuz u had to pirate a game you should have known would not run anyway. ever read the .NFO file? i lol at this, you got the punishment u deserved for being a ignorant pirate

no resetting here, i'm sorry to say your are stuck on official firmware for now but you can put your portal 2 disc in and play it now

You are stuck on 3.60 firmware and no more pirated games, it sucks right?
and all you had to do is do a little search, anyway nothing you can do now.
