True but it would be pretty hard for MFW to cuase any problems. Almost all of them would be user error. ps3mfw creator is a proven product

Well since this is a collaborative effort does antone know where I can obtain these sprx files. MFW does not patch them it allows me to replace them with ones from a debug firmware. Or if someone knows where they are at in the debug pup I will just tear it apart.

I have the files, I searched google for the 3.55 debug firmware eventually found on an upload site PS3_DEBUG_355_FW_UPDATE.zip trying to find the exact link in my history now...

anyway I used the pupx_dev_flash.exe to unpack the fw and copied the 3 required sprx files out of the unpacked dev_flash folder into a seperate folder to use on MFW builder.

Am I allowed to upload these debug files or would that be breaking the forum rules? I have tested them myself in a firmware build and they seem to work!

Didn't fully read the above statement, the files are at the following locations:
dev_flash/vsh/module/videoplayer_util.sprx
dev_flash/vsh/module/videoplayer_plugin.sprx
dev_flash/vsh/module/videoeditor_plugin.sprx

I also took the standard bdp_plugin.sprx from the retail firmware as I thought it would be required but it just skips it in the build process anyway.

you have to make sure the option to save to your sent box is on.

Thanks but I never needed the debug pup, I already found that. Thanks elver for the tools and patches . I will make sure to add you to the thanks list. Version 2 is complete and in testing. The nature of these patches will make me a little more thorough with testing this PUP.
