You can now update online to 02.09.00:



Changelog:

* Improved performance in XMMB display mode
* Backup from PS3 game discs now works as it should
* You can still launch PSX games from XMMB Game Column
* You can still launch PS3 game backups from DVD-R/RW / BD-R/RE
* You cannot create ISO backups or access non-genuine PS3 game discs (unless Direct Disc Access is enabled)
* You will see an animated icon in XMMB Game column, which you can use to launch your PSX backups.
* To keep the same functionality as before you can turn on "Direct Disc Access" from XMMB Settings column.
>>> Press [TRIANGLE] -> Enable Direct Disc Access
>>> When in Direct Disc Access mode you can rip BD movie discs, launch games, but you can't create backups of PS3 Game Discs.

Dean, with update 02.09.00 when i press Refresh (under multiMANs column on XMMB) to update my conected devices all options under the multiMAN and Settings columns on XMMB become invisible. I say invisible and not gone because if i press X (after selecting Refresh to update the connected devices and once the options become invisible) multiMAN checks for an online update. If i disconnect and reconnect my USB drive or if i change display modes and then back to XMMB the options become visible again. Also, i now can see my ROM emulators (FBANext, FCEU, SNES, etc) under the GAME column.

I have my USB drive connected and on the other port i have my second sixaxis controller charging

EDIT: i had installed the update package you had posted on page 117 (its edited now and i've deleted it so i cant check if it is the same you posted on this page) and then updated through online update; i have a PS3 Game Disc on drive but this happens with or without a disc on drive, im using my LANG_PR file (539 lines) but switching the interface back to english doesnt solve it, i had Direct Disc Acess enabled but restarting multiMAN also doesnt fixes the invisible options problem

EDIT 2: Had enabled Scan for Homebrew Applications and Expand Contents of XMMB media columns before i installed 02.09.00 and disabling Scan for Homebrew Applications made my ROM emulators disappear from the Game column (always had that Homebrew option disabled and only had enabled it one hour ago or something like that so dont know if this is how it should work, probably yes) but the invisible options problem remain

Yes, thanks, update (20111006-205000) fixes the disappearing options problem and as for the ROM emulators its my bad for not trying that homebrew option before.

But now i have a new problem, i cant get into Debug Mode, whenever i restart multiMAN while holding L2+R2 all i get is the screensaver mode (sparkles) to iniciate, even if i disable it

Debug mode (L2+R2) works just fine with BD Remote . Yes... it seems something is off when using the sixaxis... weird.

My second sixaxis finished recharging so i disconected it and tried to get into Debug Mode - it worked just this time.
I tried to replicate the process again to make sure it was caused by having the second sixaxis conected and after i conected it again i was unable to return into Debug Mode but disconecting it this time had no effect - i am once more unable to get into Debug Mode, dont know if this helps you in any way

Hey great work as always...

Not a big deal if it is a change i will adapt (there is always good reason why you remove something, but in case it just a bug ill post below)

I had alot of my avi movies in both the real XMB and in multiMAN's XMMB(Shadowed in Multiman from XMB).. So videos i saved via the real XMB were in the "ps3" native video directory( hdd_0/videos) So for me to have covers in MM i had to delete the sony .MTH &.STH (i think that the extension for the motion thumbnails) and then i put my covers in there..

Todays update Multiman wont pick those covers up.. If you removed that for any reason let me know i will just move all my vids.. Just had it like this so i could access them from Multiman and the real XMB ... No worries if you can't bring it back...



Also i have one request if possiable.. This may not help alot of people, so if you dont see a need for it no worries...

But i have edited the LANG_XX (other) file.. I didn't use the Favorites column much at all, so Renamed Favorites to Homebrew and put emulators that werent supported by Multiman . and put homebrew (by putting USDIR into a PS3_GAME folder,then under GAMES folder).. So then i also renamed some of the Genres..

PS3 Games,Move Support, Demos, Homebrew, Homebrew, Emulators, Games ect...

So my request would be if i could set more then ONE genre to the same title.. If possiable and easy would be great.. (the problem i run into for example.. if i edit the genres to PS3 Games, and to Move support the PS3 games i cant labeled in my Move Cat, so with that case it its one or the other.)


But i know this isnt a request that would benifit all so if you dont feel it is important no worries...

Ok, here's an update that might help you trying to figure out the problem:

In my previous post when i mentioned connecting and disconnecting my second sixaxis i was trying it with the usb cable, i though the problem might reside there (i disconnected the Usb cable but the sixaxis was still connected by bluetooth).

I now have figured out how the problem manifestates itself: it happens whenever a second sixaxis is connected to the ps3, i dont mean with an usb cable, i mean by bluetooth, simply being connected makes it impossible to get into Debug Mode, once i disconnect the controller completely the problem goes away.

So, if 1 controller is active= all fine; if 2 controllers are active= no Debug Mode
