*update 2012-02-10* please re-download: fixed a bug where port was always 38008, fixed an issue with quoted paths
Now that the new multiMAN 4.01.01 supports almost everything streamed from the PC, I have developed an improved version of the PS3 NET Server GUI for Windows... I hope you like it, guys/gals. ![]() Download & info is here: http://www.ps3hax.net/showpost.php?p...2&postcount=45 Some of its features: - Remember the last shared folders - Allows to share up to 10 paths - Auto-complete of paths for folders/also a browse button - All the hosts are grouped/started/closed at the same time - Minimizes to system tray - Option to start the PS3 NET Server with Windows - Supports the White List parameter (to accept connections from specific IP addresses) - Show the server IP address (for easier setup on the PS3) - New/Save/Load settings (press Ctrl+N, Ctrl+S, Ctrl+R) - Animation/nice background picture - Don't make coffee like multiMAN does (j/k)In the link above there is also a tool to unpack THM files... very helpful for theme creators!

The latest bugfix cleared all issues! Thanks
@aldostools
!
D p.s. Here is a link to the ps3netsrv + GUI + the VB runtime libraries for windows users. I tested everything and it is just perfect! I really like that it can be auto-launched with windows and I love the minimize-in-tray function! Last edited by deank; 02-10-2012 at 02:08 PM. |

Some ideas for future releases:
- Show the ICON0.PNG of a selected folder in a corner of the File Manager. It should make easier to identify the folders. - RIP function integrated to the File Manager (something like the PS3RIP tool) - Patch xRegistry.sys (/setting/music/atracActivation & /setting/music/wmaActivation) to enable WMA and ATRAC. Maybe in a standalone applet. - Make tea??? It already makes coffee ![]() Issue: - If you go to settings and set File Manager as the default mode, and lock to File Manager, there is no way to access the settings. If I click the "Game" option on the top/right corner of the File Manager, it goes to that Cover mode does not have access to settings. I think it it better that it goes to XMMB or XBD or PSV mode.

Hi. Now this is all real new to me. I have just downgraded via the E3 flasher and am now trying to use FTP to run ISO that I have on my PC. I have upgraded to MMCM 4.01.01 (?) and have installed PS3Serv on my PC. I entered the network address (10.0.0.21) and the POrt on the PS3, but PS3Serv still says "waiting for host". What am I missing? Can I have a full tutorial maybe? Sorry if others find this simple but I am quite new to the scene!
Thanks! |

I think this will help.
Easy process. This is for example using Windows 7. Hit Start, then All Programs, accessories, Command Prompt. When window opens, type ipconfig . This will give you your IP details. You are looking for IPv4 Address. This is your COMPUTERS ip address. That is the only thing you need to write down. Close Command prompt. Assuming you have the PS3NETSERVER running. In the server it is asking you to select the drives/folders you want to share. Each drive/folder is assigned a different port number. So for example drive d:/DVDISO, will be 38008 And for example drive d:/ISOSOFPS3GAMES, will be 38009. In Multiman, goto the Network Settings and enter the IPv4 settings you wrote down. Then it will ask you the port number. That number is provided in the PS3NETSERVER. Like 38008. Off you go. If there is anything I may have missed, please add or correct me. Just thought I could help. But PLEASE REALIZE, that regardless, at this time YOU CANNOT play any PS3 games over these method without having the COBRA Dongle. With the great work that is happing by Dean, and many others. This may change. Hope this helps. DaPlayer |
