Replacing demo firmware w/ consumer firmware?
Has anyone figured out how to replace the Demo firmware with regular firmware once Demonstration Mode has been unlocked?
I have unlocked Demonstration Mode with the 4-digit code - but I can't get the PS3 to recognize the 2.1 firmware I downloaded from Sony's site. I've tried to update it with a USB stick using the PS3 > UPDATE directory structure, but the PS3 doesn't recognize the update. Has anyone had luck with this? |

Your firmware viersion isn't clear.
Do you mean 2.01 or 2.10. What happens when you choose the option for update over the net. Where is the machine looking for the upadate. (You may have to sniff the network).
